Celestial Navigation is a 10 session, in-depth course offered to both members and non-members by the United States Power Squadrons®, America’s Boating Club, Beverly-Marblehead Sail & Power Squadron.

You will learn about:

• Identifying the navigational planets and stars

• Use of a marine sextant to measure altitudes accurately

• Time zones and accurate time keeping at sea

• Sight reduction by calculator and tabular methods

• Plotting information to find position at sea

• The celestial “Day’s Work” summary and example cruise

Classes: Tuesdays, 7 to 9 pm, starting February 3, 2026 via Zoom

Cost is $120 ($100 for U.S. Power Squadron Members)
