Weather Course

Marine Weather Course

Updated Marine Weather is a 10-session, in-depth course offered by the United States Power Squadrons®, America’s Boating Club®, that introduces students to the science of meteorology and focuses on the causes, analysis, and forecasting of weather events. The aim of the course is to make you weather-wise.

The course meets the practical needs of today’s boaters by introducing weather maps, upper-air charts, local and zone text forecasts, wind/wave and other graphic forecasts, radar images, and watches, warnings and advisories. This course also highlights use of internet resources, weather apps, and Wi-Fi, cell phone, radio, and satellite weather communications for mariners.
